To
The Chief Instructor
Mr. Kurt Ottesen
"On
behalf of my wife and myself I would like to thank you for the
instruction that you and your school have provided for our son,
Sean, Not only have you provided inspiration to him, we have seen
from the many times we have attended and watched from the back,
the excellent job you do as an instructor, and as an adult with
your students of all ages - from the 5 year olds to the older
students (not to mention any ages-your Dad).
From
a learning prospective we are pleased and excited to see our son
grow from a young man to a young adult due in part to your positive
role modeling, techniques, respect and inspirations. This has
given him much more than just getting stronger with great abilities
to defend himself and others. The lessons he has learned from
you are things that will stay with him and influence him for the
rest of his life.
As
you are aware, I have been a member of the Royal Canadian Mounted
Police for twenty five years and I am encouraged by your presence
in our community, and again in the way you handle and present
yourself to your students and parents. I am sure you display your
manners, confidence and respect in your everyday life is certainly
setting the bar higher for anyone that has had the pleasure of
your friendship. Joanne and I will certainly speak highly of your
school, while Sean is constantly beaming with pride from his achievements
in such short time. There is no doubt he is hooked and your continued
mentoring will take him far. I will be recommending you to the
RCMP Police Training Academy as an instructor to hopefully provide
refresher techniques that will greatly assist in our day to day
work.
You
are doing a great and commendable job."
Yours
truly,
Michael and Joanne Caira
"TaeKwon-Do
lessons have helped my son to be able to take and listen to instructions
and carry them out. The discipline has helped to make him a better
person."

Mr.
O & Ms. Southgate:
"I
wanted to thank you both for all of your hard work and patience
with Tristan. I don't think I have ever seen him so happy and
excited. When you handed him his yellow belt I thought he was
going to burst. Being in Tae-kwon Do has been such a good thing
for Tristan. What you teach and your philosophy mirrors what my
husband and I have tried to instill in our children. That if you
put in the effort and try your best you will succeed. It may not
always happen in the time frame we want but it will happen!
Thank you."

O is one of the most knowledgeable martial artists in Western
Canada. His enthusiasm, extensive tournament and teaching experience
make him a superior instructor for young, old and in-between.
His affiliation with ITF ensures that his student's awards are
recognized worldwide. He uses positive reinforcement daily and
freely shares his knowledge with his students, keeping each individual
interested and looking forward to the next class. This truly makes
him unique."

"I
just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate you taking the
time to talk to my son on Sunday... quite a change from the young
man who entered your class that morning! He was very positive
and cheerful after your discussion... now THAT'S my boy! LOL Thanks
again for not only sparking his interest but also giving him something
positive to think about and look forward to participating in.
You're not only an excellent role model in class, you seem to
have an ability to reach and inspire a child who is out of reach
for most. Thank you"
Sincerely,
Michelle Nordin
"I
just want to let you know I very much appreciate the time and
effort you have put towards my son David's progress in your school.
I have seen a big difference in his demeanour and attitude for
the better since he started attending classes last fall. I have
volunteered at his preschool many times and have noticed the difference
in his attitude towards learning. I have noticed just how intent
he is in your class but yet how laid back he is in pre-school.
I have talked to my wife about this and I personally feel he is
no longer challenged (in pre-school) to the degree he needs to
be"
Yours
sincerely,
